Dementia Action Week 2025
This Dementia Action Week, we're speaking out and we're speaking up for dementia carers who don't have any alternative care arrangements in place. This is the case for over three quarters of dementia carers.
What if…I can’t care?
Helen and her siblings struggled to support their mum when their dad, her main carer, received a cancer diagnosis and died a few weeks later.
What if…my own health didn’t have to suffer?
Debbie has to continue her caring role however she is feeling. She has no time to look after her own health needs.
What if…there’s an emergency?
Elaine was struggling to remain conscious after being admitted to hospital, but needed to find care for her mum
What if…I wasn’t so terrified of what might happen?

What if…I’m not there to care?
Over 1,200 dementia carers responded to our survey. 76% don't have alternative care plans if they're not there to care.
