Donate to create a better future for dementia carers
Dementia is on the increase. 1 in 2 of us will either need or provide dementia care in our lifetimes. Together we can be there for dementia carers today and campaign for a better future for dementia carers.
All too often dementia carers like Lisa are not getting the support they need to cope. Many can see a time ahead when they won’t be able to keep caring due to their physical or mental health. This is making them feel anxious about what might happen if they’re not there to care. This needs to change – with your support we can make sure dementia carers aren’t forgotten.
Please help us create a better future for dementia carers
Together, we’re working towards a world where everyone caring for someone with dementia gets information, personal advice and support that helps them.
Our 2024 survey revealed that 76% of dementia carers don’t have alternative care plans if they’re not there to care. Carers like Lisa, who had to cancel surgery because no-one else could care for her husband.
No dementia carer should be caring at the expense of their own health or worrying about the future if they’re not there to care.
We’re campaigning for the changes needed to make sure all dementia carers are supported with their caring responsibilities today and with planning for the future.
We are family members who become carers out of love and need. We are people as well who need to be cared for out of physical and mental exhaustion. Us carers are amazing, but sadly we’re not superhuman. 2024 Survey Respondent
