We’re part of National Voices
We’ve joined National Voices to ensure that the concerns and experiences of dementia carers are heard.
We’re excited to share that we have joined National Voices. We’ll be amplifying the voices of dementia carers as we work together with over 200 organisations who are fellow members of this leading coalition.
Together we can drive changes that are needed and make sure people’s lived experiences are at the heart of decision making when it comes to health and social care. Helen Pyper, Head of Policy and Campaigns, Dementia Carers Count
What is National Voices?
National Voices is the leading coalition of health and social care charities in England.
It has over 200 members covering a diverse range of health conditions and communities.
It advocates for more equitable and person centred health and care, shaped by the people who use and need it the most.
Why we have joined National Voices
We believe in the power of working with others in the sector to bring about change.
Dementia carers share their experiences with us. They tell us what they know would make the most difference to their ability to cope.
By being part of National Voices, we can amplify dementia carers’ voices. We can connect with other organisations who share our vision about what needs to change in health and social care.
We are proud to be part of a movement that believes health and social care should be centred around what really matters to people.
We’ll be championing the changes that dementia carers want to see.
We’ll have opportunities to meet with Ministers, leaders in NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care, and other system leaders.
We won’t stop speaking up until no dementia carer feels overwhelmed or alone.
