Invisible – our survey findings

We would like to warmly thank the over 1300 dementia carers who shared their experiences with us in our annual survey.

Dementia carers told us that they were feeling forgotten, scared of what is to come and struggling to cope. Nine in ten carers are reaching crisis.

Their responses gave us invaluable insight into how family dementia carers are coping and what support they need.

Dementia Carers Count’s CEO Frances Lawrence said

“Carers are doing so much, they don’t have the time or the energy to contact others for help. However, this doesn’t mean that they should remain invisible. This has to change.”

We will be raising the issues raised by dementia carers with decision makers. See how you can help.
