Proud to be a Living Wage Employer

We’re accredited as a Living Wage Employer

We’re proud to be accredited as a Living Wage Employer, joining a movement of businesses, organisations and people committed to ensuring that everyone is paid a wage that meets their everyday needs.

What is the Living Wage Employer Accreditation Scheme?

The Living Wage accreditation is for organisations wanting to demonstrate their commitment as a responsible employer.

The National Minimum Wage, also called the National Living Wage for those over the age of 21, provides a legal base-level income to protect workers’ rights.

The Real Living Wage is set independently to this and is voluntary for employers, but is calculated at a higher rate based on the cost of living.

Why does it matter to us to be accredited?

We are committed to fair pay according to the cost of living. Achieving this accreditation shows our commitment to paying all employees and external contractors of Dementia Carers Count at a level above the Real Living Wage.

Our employees are our greatest asset and staff well-being is extremely important to us. We continually seek ways to keep moving forwards to ensure we provide the best support we can to all those who work for us.

This includes not only ensuring our employees are paid appropriately and fairly for the work they do, but that it is enough for them to live on.
