Who is it for?
This immersive simulation training is for care providers and community groups.
Dementia Simulation Training experience includes
- Simulation of physical and sensory impairments, with a range of different glasses that mimic ageing eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, etc.
- Gloves and shoe inserts to mimic conditions that affect peripheral circulation such as diabetic neuropathy or vascular or blood disorders causing sensory issues in the hands and feet.
- Restrict fingers on each hand to give an understanding of the challenges of stiffness related to conditions such as arthritis
- Set up the environment to provide environmental, sensory and cognitive challenges.
Following the experience all delegates debrief and reflect with the trainer on their individual experience.
