Online Support Groups for Dementia Carers

Our new online support groups for dementia carers, cover a range of topics that will help you in your caring role. You’ll get the opportunity to talk with and listen to other carers, in our small, friendly groups, which are led by our expert nurses, psychologists and advocates. You can join via Zoom from anywhere, and share your experience with other carers, or just listen if you’re not quite ready to talk.

You’ll get the opportunity to understand more about dementia and to connect with others in a similar situation, as well as practical advice on the reality and challenges of being a carer.

Find an online support group

We understand that sometimes it is difficult to get a diagnosis for someone with dementia and we recognise that you still need support. Therefore, the person you are caring for does not need to have been given a diagnosis of dementia to enable you to attend any of our online group support sessions.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed and neglect yourself when you are looking after someone with dementia. But caring for yourself is absolutely necessary, for two reasons:

You will care better if you take time to recharge your batteries and build your resilience.

You are a person too and worthy of care, respect and compassion.

Thank you so much. Your course was actually life-changing!
