Spotlight on Parkinson’s disease dementia and Lewy body dementia
This session provides the opportunity to understand more about Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson’s Disease Dementia. The different areas of the brain that are affected are discussed, and we link these areas to different sets of symptoms. By understanding the challenges for the person with dementia, this session will provide you with the knowledge that you have the ability and skills to support some of these challenges.
This session is for you if:
- you would like to learn about how changes in the brain can affect the person
- you want to spend time with experienced healthcare professionals who will answer your questions in a safe, supportive environment
- you would like to meet other people who are taking care of a friend or family member who are in a similar situation
Our courses for family carers are designed specifically for family and friends of people with dementia however we do understand that sometimes attending as a professional can be useful. It will enable you to recommend our courses to family and friends of people with dementia that you support, and to find out more about how carers feel about the issues that they face with different types of dementia.
