Spotlight on the hidden challenges of dementia

Memory difficulties are widely known as a dementia symptom, but did you know that there are lots of other challenges people can face as a result of dementia?
These can range from visual changes, problems with planning and organising, difficulty responding appropriately to social cues or changes to sensations such as taste and touch. These challenges can sometimes mean the person experiences stress and distress, and can often be excluded from social situations or shared experiences.
This session introduces the various ways a person with dementia may be affected that you may not have had the opportunity to consider before.
