This session will explore early evening agitation or ‘sundowning’ and the latest theories for why this can occur. It will offer some practical suggestions for how to manage this, for you in your caring role and also for the person who has dementia to support the well-being of you both.
This session is for you if:
- you would like to gain a better understanding of the factors that may contribute to early evening agitation or sundowning
- you would like to gain a better understanding of your own needs at this time and those of the person with dementia
- you want to spend time with experienced healthcare professionals who will answer your questions in a safe, supportive environment
- you would like to meet other people who are taking care of a friend or family member with dementia in a similar situation
