Darren started his career as a surveyor with Bryant Homes and has spent more than three decades working in the construction and housing industries. In 2020 he joined Kier Living as Regional Director of their Central Region to support the proposed sale of the Housebuilding business which has now been secured. Previous roles include Chief Executive of Rectory Homes Ltd, a number of senior executive positions in leading retirement developers McCarthy & Stone, eight years as MD of CALA Homes (Midlands) Ltd and three years prior as MD of various regions with David Wilson Homes Ltd. He is also a Non-Executive Director with one of the leading Midlands Housing Organisations Midland Heart.
