There may be lots of reasons to feel that life is particularly tough when you are looking after someone with dementia.
Martin Luther King said, “Only in the darkness can you see the stars”. He meant that even when we are going through the most painful of times, there is still beauty all around us. The challenge is to try to find it. Easier said than done.
When we share our own story, we often help us others. More than we will ever know. It helps us feel connected, less alone, a glimmer of light in the darkness.
